[Mini Haul] Purchases from B.liv Malaysia & NattaCosme on 11street.my

I had 11streetmy credit expiring the other day so I snagged one of the masks that Bliv's official reseller on 11street had for RM10.23. Look at me, making legit excuses to buy masks.

B.Liv Malaysia at 11Street.my

Prices: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Shipping: 2-3 days
Samples: 10/10
Repurchase: No

B.liv is a brand that was established in 2009 and carters to the demand of affordable personal skin care regimens that's leading in pore management solution. They launched originally in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau. They have an interesting 14 days money-back guarantee that I'm curious if anyone's used before. XD Skin is very much different for everone and the same product may not work effectively for everyone. All products are salon-formulated and tested.

The mask arrived a few days after ordering it and it expires in September this year. =.= Lame. I have enough masks expiring this year as it is and would've appreciated a heads up. They put the expiry date on the sample in the description, but not the mask. Maybe they meant to put the expiry date on the mask but accidentally got it on the sample instead.

As you can see in the picture, the mask came with 3 b.liv dench me cleanser + 3 b.liv glow and shine exfoliating mask, which is 1 more than the description promised, so yay! Absolute Matte mask uses active charcoal mask sheet that helps draw out pore-cloggers and combact excess sebum. It also helps as an exfoliant to lift away impurities.

I really like the name for the mask. Don't get mad, get matte! Absolute matte helps combat excess sebum and control surface shine while purifying and refreshing your complexion. Ingredients include retinyl palmitate (for regulating sebum secretion and skin regeneration), zinc sulfate (combact excess sebum and clarifying complexion), and willow back extract (exfoliant for lifting impurities). Overall though, I'm happy with my purchase despite the expiry date being so soon. There are three different masks available for free shipping on b.liv's store in 11street with different samples: The Sheer Off Crease and Rejuvenating Mask. ^^ Worth checking out for sure. :)

The b.liv exfoliating mask helps remove blackheads and whiteheads and ligthening scar, so I'm really excited to be trying that out! It's meant to be used after cleansing by applying on dry face for 5-10 minutes, then massaged with water and washed off gently.

[Review] Hada Labo Rohto Hadalabo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist

It's been a while since I last updated my blog and I apologize. I do have good reason for this. Lack of time. It's a horrible, shitty reason that really bothers me. I have things I want to write and share but there's simply no time

Work beckons. As daunting as that is, it's what pay for the bills and as such, it takes priority over everything else.

Enough whining, here's my review for Hada Labo Rohto Hadalabo Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist, or what's most commonly known as Hada Labo with the red label.

Price: RM27.90
Verdict: 10/10
Repurchase: Yes.

Price & Shop

I bought these from NattaCosme on 11street.my using some coupons. The price for two of these is normally discounted to RM85.90 - RM89.90 on the site, despite what ludicrous original price it insists on putting.

There're normally lots of discount coupons that can be used on these. I bought two for RM55.93, which is about RM27.90 per bottle. My experience with Natta Cosme has been nothing but spectacular. Delivery takes a day, which is just incredible. The Hada Labo with the red label (moist) comes very highly recommended becaues it's incredibly hydrated.

Ingredients & Directions

Directions say to use this twice a day after cleansing. I use this after my actives and before any of my moisturizers.

Ingredients: Water,Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Disodium Succinate,Methylparaben,Sodium Hyaluronate (Small-Size HA),Sodium Hyaluronate (Medium-Size HA), Succinic Acid, PPG-20 Methyl GlucoseEther,Hyaluronic Acid (Nano HA), Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronated (Super HA)

To be honest, I didn't realize how incredibly short the ingredients were in the product. There are three types of Hyaluronic Acid in the lotion to moisturize the skin and help preserve optimum moisture balance. The simple ingredients meant that if you do break out from them, it's fairly easy to identify what's causing it and know to avoid them in the future.

Texture and Fragrance

This is very watery, so I decanted this into a smaller bottle. I only need to use three droplets for my entire face, which means a single bottle will last a good long while... if only I stopped using this on my entire body too. It soaks into my skin beautifully and I find myself enjoying the application.

It doesn't smell like anything to me, which I find quite agreeable since I don't particular enjoy heavy-fragranced products.

Performance

As I mentioned earlier, I use this both in the mornings and nights before any of my moisturizers or essences. In the morning, I mix with with my Scinic Honey AIO and that's the end of my morning routine. Honest! The weather here is hot and humid, and those two products are the only thing my combi/oily skin needs to stay happy.

After using this for a little more than 3 months, my skin was considerably more hydrated. My skin stopped being so oily and that're really very cool since my skin has been disgustingly oily ever since I came home to the humid heat in Malaysia. I also use this before applying sheet masks and it soaks all the essence into my skin.

This lotion has been reported to work wonderfully on dry skin and I was surprised this worked so well for me even with my oilier skin. I'd love to try other Hada Labo products eventually, but this seems to be the cheaper of the line with the others being more expensive so (points upwards) unless work agrees, I'm probably going to refrain from buying more expensive products.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Price-wise, this is amazing per ml. You can also get this for RM59 on Guardian Malaysia, but why pay more when you can get it for less?
  • It does what it's supposed to wonderfully!
  • The short ingredient list means it has less triggering ingredients.
  • Absorbs wonderfully.
  • Made my skin less oily! :D

Cons

  • None that I can think of.

[Mini Haul] Scinic Aqua Ex Jelly Cream From 11street

Mini Haul from: 11street.my
Packaging: 10/10
Shipping: 10/10
Samples: 10/10
Money Spent: RM22.40 (~$5.60)

What I Bought

I bought this during another one of the many, many 11street sales. It was priced at RM25 and I used a coupon to bring that down to RM22.40. Shortly after buying it, the price went down even further to RM19.90. I hate 11streets' fluctuating price. Honestly.

The bottle is quite huge and it contains 100ml of product.

Shipping & Samples

Shipping took a little while longer than it should have due to it coinciding with a few day's holidays. The purchase came with 3 free masks which was something that was promised during the purchase. Yay for free masks though! I'm happy with the purchase overall in terms of shipping and 'samples'. ^^

Ingredients

This thing is in Korean and the only ingredients I managed to find about it is sea water, zostera marina extract, codium tomentosum extract. It does, however, seem to have a cosdna page about it here with a few ingredients that may cause acne that is Triethanol amine, butylene glycol, dimethicone, and beeswax. The beeswax may also be an irritant.

The multifunctional fast-absorbing skincare cream promises to deliver whitening, anti-aging and hydrating functions. The deep sea water replenishes skin moisture whereas seaweed promotes metabolism, moisturizes, soften skin, provides anti-inflammatory effect, and protects the body against free radical damage. It was awarded the best hydrating cream in the 2010 allure Beatufy Fair and Best of Beauty Award.

First Impression

This hydrating gel is intended as a moisturizing cream for your skin, although Amazon has a weird direction that tells you to put it on rough, dry lips, followed by a plastic wrap which is to be removed after 10 minutes. This will removed dead skin cells, apparently. I'm not too keen on trying that out, so I'll stick to using it as a general moisturizer.

I know it's shallow, but I really like the color of this cream. It has a calming light blue tone that just well, calms me. I love blue. It's super dense and thick. As you can see the texture is heavy but spreads very well on my skin! It felt smooth and light, just like a gel and absorbs pretty well on my hand. That little bit of cream that I dabbed on my skin was spread over the entire back of my hand, so I forsee this product lasting quite a while! I really like how it felt on my skin. It was hydrating without being clogging or sticky.

On the other hand, the scent is really quite overwhelming. Even on my skin I could smell it's strong flora, perfumy scent that lingers. This product will have to wait, since I have a few moisturizers to go through yet, but I am already worried about how much the scent would bother me. A detailed review will be coming up once I've had time to test this for a while.

[Review] My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask

Price: RM1.49 per sheet
(After a lot of coupon discounts. RM44.70/30)
Verdict: 7/10
Repurchase: Maybe, but not anytime soon.

Price

Picture from Yesstyle.com
I bought this from a store that was clearing out the last of his stock on 11street. That said, the store is no longer selling anything. I bought 3 because that was the threshold needed to reach free shipping and it needed to be the same product for it to stack. I managed to use a shit-load of coupons, as you can see, so each mask ended up being RM1.49, which is just ridiculously cheap.

There are 10 masks per box and I ended up with 30 masks total.

Purchased from: A store that's no longer active on 11street.my :( I should've bought more stuff from them before they closed.
Samples: None.
Delivery Time: 2 weeks

Fit & Texture

The package is individually wrapped and soaked with essence. There were a few drops leftover so I just dripped it over the mask while it was already on my face. The mask itself was fairly thick compared to the My Scheming Masks that I've tried. The texture is comfortable, however, and did not feel too heavy.

It has a sweet strawberry milk scent that was not too overwhelming and went away after a little while. As for fit, it didn't really manage to cover my entire face. The folds also seem to have a problem adhering to my face or even adhering on each other. Nevertheless, I enjoyed having it on for ~30 minutes.

Ingredients

Purified Water, Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, 1,3 Butylene Glycol, Triethanol amine, Tween 20, Yogurt, Hyaluronic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Algae, Malva sylvestris, Arctostaphylos uva ursi, Saccharum officinarum, Acer Saccharum, Citrus medica Limonum, Vaccinium myrtillus, Styrene/acrylates copolymer, Dimethylsilanol hyaluronate, Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Carbomer, Polyglutamic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Fragariavria vesca Fruit Extract, Citrus Anrantium Dulcis Fruit Extract Sheet Mask

It has Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, and sodium lactate, which some people may be allergic to. In addition, the preservative and antimicrobial used is iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, which may cause sensitivity.

Performance

My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask claims to whiten and refine skin as well as control excessive sebum secretion. It's suitable for normal skin and combination skin. Unfortunately, I didn't notice a significant whitening effect but it did help with sebum secretion. I have already finished a box of this mask (with the help of my mom and sister) and the after-effects of the masks just wasn't significant enough for me to feel like taking an after-picture was warranted.

While I preferred the thinner texture of My Scheming masks, I enjoyed the Strawberry Yogurt Masks a good deal. It had ample amount of essence in the mask and after taking it off, my skin felt hydrated. It was, however, a little sticky. Not uncomfortably so, but still sticky. Thankfully, the stickiness went away after a little while.

Did it do what it promised? Somewhat, I suppose. It had a mild whitening effect and was calming to have on. I suppose after about 10 of these mask, I was a bit tired of it but the mask just wasn't so impressive to begin with.

The main function of the mask, balancing and oil control, was achieved though, so I'm giving it a reasonable 7 out of 10. I wouldn't be repurchasing this anytime soon since I still have about 18 to go through.

Price: RM1.49 per sheet
Verdict: 7/10
Repurchase: Maybe, but not anytime soon.

[Review] My Scheming Aloe Vera + Vitamin E Mask

Price: RM2.08 per sheet
Verdict: 9.5/10
Repurchase: Yes!

Price

Picture from 11street

I bought this from TW Street at 11street.my. Warning: Mini rant ahead. It's part of a 24 mask package called and is being sold under My Scheming Scheming Awards mask into 24 groups. A mouthful, sure, but it explains exactly what you'll be getting, which in this case is 24 My Schming masks. The thing is the price of this fluactutates A LOT. I bought this when it was priced at RM93 but discounted to RM65 and I had a RM15 discount code, which brought the price to RM50 for 24 sheet masks. Literally a day later, the price went down to RM49. If not for the discount code, I would be fuming!

There are ~10 different sheet masks in the box, so there'll be a bunch of reviews coming up shortly. :)
Purchased From: TW Street on 11street.my
Samples: None
Delivery Time: Acceptable (About two weeks)

Fit & Texture

Like previous My Scheming Masks I've tried, I love the fit of it. It managed to cover my admittably massive forehead and felt so moisturizing to have on. I threw this in the fridge for half an hour before fitting it on my face so there's an added soothing effect there.

The texture is thin but doesn't dry as quickly as other masks I've tried. The leftover essence on the mask I poured on top of the mask prior to putting it on. The 0.5 deduction from the 10 point was due to the fragile-ness of the sheet mask. I accidentaly tore the mask in the process of getting it on. The material definitely needs some work but I do like how it felt on my skin so maybe I just need to be more gentle.

Ingredients

Picture from 11street
XANTHAN GUM、PROPYLENE GLYCOL、SODIUM HYALURONATE、CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER)FRUIT EXTRACT、BUTYLENE GLYCOL、ALOE BARBADENSIS FLOWER EXTRACT、TOCOPHEROL ACETATE、CETETH-20、CETETH-6、PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL、EUPHRASIA OFFICINALIS、MORUS ALBA LEAF EXTRACT、FAGUS SYLVATICA BUD EXTRACT、CALENDULA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT、DIPOTASSIUM GLYCYRRHETINATE、SODIUM PCA、TRANEXAMIC ACID、ARBUTIN、HYDROXYETHYL UREA、GLYCERIN、IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE、METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE 、METHYLPARABEN、WATER

Like the My Scheming Mandelic Sheet Mask, this mask contains Methylisothiazolinone (MIT), which may be triggering to some.

It also contains Butylene Glycol, which is known to cause Acne for some.

Sheet Mask Performance

Other than that fragility of the product, everything else was great. I loved having the sheet mask on. I had it on for a little under an hour before it started drying even a little. After taking it off, there was still essence left so I smeared it on my neck, ears, and arms. The essence is absorbed wonderfully and I loved having it on.

After taking it off, I felt like my skin had a nice boost of hydration. My skin soaked up the essence of the mask and it didn't leave me with a sticky sheen. The back of the mask lauds its ability to provide skin with abundant moisture, mends skin, promote metabolism and nourish skin with sufficient nutrients. Vitamin E is an essential element for ante-oxidant which brightens and whitens skin color, providing you with a lighter, smoother, and more brilliant skin.

So, did it do what it promised? Yes! I had some inflammation on my skin from my own bad skin-picking habit and this sheet mask brought down the inflammation considerably.

For the price, I'll definitely be restocking soon. The box only gave me 3 of these masks, so a restocking session is immenient. ^^

Price: RM2.08 per sheet
Verdict: 9.5/10
Repurchase: Yes!

[Review] My Scheming Mandelic Acid Brightening Mask

Price: RM2.6 per sheet
Verdict: 10/10
Repurchase: Yes!

I bought this mask during a Mother's Day Exclusive Sale at 11street. The price of the mask was RM29, but I had a discount code that brought it down to RM25.81. I really shouldn't be buying more masks, but this came highly recommended on reddit and I am but a lowly sheep, eager to follow in the successful chok-chok skin of others.

Purchased From: TW Street on 11street.my
Samples: None
Delivery Time: Acceptable (I believe this took about two weeks?)

This is the first My Scheming mask I've used and I am absolutely and completely in love with it. It fit my face like a glove and felt like a second skin. The entire time I had it on, I didn't feel like tearing at my face, like some other sheet masks I've tried (*coughGuardianmaskscough*).

There's a good amount of essence left, which I smeared all over my face first before applying the mask. The mask is so thin it's almost invisible and didn't freak out my parents like other sheet masks.

When I took it off, my mom said it's as if I still had it on. It was that good. My skin, which had suffered from a stressful 'vacation' that left me with tons of cc's, were soothed and much less inflamed (from my own bad skin-picking). The instant brightening effect was no joke and lasts for a fair bit. Unfortunately, I sheet mask at night so there's only me and my family to appreciate my awesome, brightened skin.

Ingredients (from Amazon):

WATER、PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL、ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER、GLYCERIN、PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL、UREA、JOJOBA WAX PEG-120 ESTERS、TRANEXAMIC ACID、SODIUM HYALURONATE、DIPOTASSIUM GLYCYRRHIZATE、XANTHAN GUM、PROPYLENE GLYCOL、PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM / SODIUM POLYACRYLATE、PRUNUS SPECIOSA FLOWER EXTRACT、MANDELIC ACID、PRUNUS DOMESTICA FRUIT EXTRACT、NELUMBO NUCIFERA FLOWER EXTRACT、SASA VEITCHII LEAF EXTRACT、LILIUM CANDIDUM BULB EXTRACT、IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE、METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE、FRAGRANCE.

Warning: It has Methylisothiazolinone (MIT), which is a preservative that may be triggering to some.

Instructions:

Remove protective sheet before placing the mask over a thoroughly-cleansed face. - Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. - Remove the mask and gently massage any excess serum into the skin.

Personally, I left this on for a little more than half an hour before it started drying a little. Even then, when I took it off, there was still a lot of essence left. Enough to slather on my neck and ears.

Verdict: 10/10
Repurchase: Yes! I would marry this mask if I didn't love my SO so much already.

Scinic Honey Ampoule All-In-One (LionGroupKorea - 11Street) To Sarawak, Malaysia -Mini Review

I bought this on the 21st April, 2016 and it arrived on May 4th, 2016 in a box that was fairly ugly to be completely honest. It was taped together with brown cellophane tape that circled the brown box from the top to the bottom. One I pulled the whole tape out, I no longer had a box. It pretty much fell apart. After being pampered by NattaCosme's beautiful box design, I gotta say I was fairly disappointed by LionGroupKorea's lack of their own customised box.

Luckily everything inside was intact. I bought two Scinic Honey All In One Ampoule since my research found that it was highly recommended as an ampoule and since I had none to begin with, I wanted one that was all-in-one. It's humongous at 250ml per bottle. I purchased two since it was cheaper per bottle that way, at RM128.51. I had another 30% discount coupon, so it came down to just a little over RM100 at RM102.81 with free shipping.

The shipping was a little disappointing, since I expect it to arrive fairly quickly. The truth was, it didn't even ship until the 28th! But, the free samples made up for the delay!
The bottles were wrapped in bubble wrap and the samples - ohmygod the samples. I was given two travel-size samples which arrived just in time for my trip to West Malaysia at the end of the month and another trip in the beginning of next month.

The Laneige Perfect Pore cleansing oil smells like a dream and managed to get my sunscreen off without a fuss. It emulsifies beautifully once water is added, leaving my skin clear and plump. I'm gave the Mamonde age control to my mom and am saving the coconut oil sample packets for the trip as well.

The Scinic Ampoule comes with a small scoop but I decanted it into a smaller jar to reduce contamination nevertheless. I've been using this twice a day for a week and I love this stuff to death. Everytime I put this on, I feel like eating my face. It has a honey-like scent that isn't too overbearing and spreads easily on my skin. I do have fairly oily skin though, so it also left me with a somewhat sticky residue. I'm probably putting on too much but overmoisturized >> not moisturized enough.

The texture is a little sticky and goey, so a little goes a long way. I've been decanting this to my friends and family left right and center and I've still barely made a dent in it. This goes after my Hada Labo Lotion and before Sunscreen at night or is the last step of my nightly routine if I don't feel like putting on a night mask. I slather on a thick layer at night and wash it off in the morning.

My morning routine:
Hada Labo AHA/BHA Foaming Cleanser -> Thayer's Unscented Witch Hazel Toner -> Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (Rich) -> Scinic Honey Ampoule

It hasn't made drastic changes on my skin so far, but I do feel like it's more plump and my face hasn't been doing it's usual 'ohmegerd oil spill' in the mornings, which is amazing.

Love it? Yes!
Repurchase? Yes! But I doubt I will ever run out of this stuff!

NattaCosme (11street) To Sarawak, Malaysia (Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion Twin Pack)

Hada Labo seems to be all the rage in Malaysia right now. Or maybe I'm the last of the sheep to find out about it. Either way, I'm not complaining. After I grabbed the Hada Labo BHA/AHA Cleanshing foam from Guardian for RM27 during a 40% sale, I was itching for more.

The cleansing foam in a pump bottle feels like clouds on my face and while I'm aware that the actives (BHA/AHA) would not have enough time to work it's magic on my face, I was using it for it's lower pH (~6.5) and amazingly soft bubbles. BHA and AHA needs a lower pH to work, so I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve by adding that in the cleanser. In addition, the soft foams meant it won't be helpful for you if you have sunscreen/makeup on that you need to wash away. This is my morning cleanser though, and seeing as there aren't any dirt/makeup/oil on my face that early in the morning, I find it perfect. <3

Since I've found the right cleanser, I was hunting for the perfect moisturizer. Specifically, I was looking for a moisturizer that isn't cream-based and wasn't going to cost me my kidney.

In swoops 11street.my. This Malaysian online shopping mall features a good deal of vendors from all over the world and with a billion 11% bonus coupons every few days, I was hooked (like a fish ready to be sushi-fied... not in an altogether good way). While my bank account wept, my skin sung happy songs~ It was a necessary exchange.

I did my research on good lotions and this one comes highly recommended. Technically lotion = toner in Korea, but I have lotion-abhorrent skin that turns into a bp oil spill on contact, so the lighter the lotion, the better. There's another type (Light) that's supposedly more suitable for combination skin, but I wanted to try this first because it was cheaper. The Hada Labo Super Hyalronic Acid Hydrating Lotion (Rich) is a toner that is moisturizing enough to be a mostuirizer, and I intend to layer this with a moisturizing gel, so it's all good.

I digress. I managed to find myself in the midst of a dozen sellers selling the same Hada Labo lotion for a dozen different prices. An exaggeration, but you get my drift. With so many different sellers, I opted for the smartest choice. That is to say, I went to the cheapest seller. I did make sure that the seller has a good rating on 11street first though. I'm not completely gullible.

Screencap from 11street
It looks reputable enough, and at a satisfaction rating of 99%, I couldn't go wrong. The store is based in Malaysia, which means delivery won't take as long. What caught my eyes were the reviews singing phrases about the good packaging. I've had packages delivered here that was a little smooshed and the contents a little leaky because it wasn't boxed right, or there simply weren't enough cushioning so the reviews about the nice packaging had me curious.

So, I bought the lotion from Nattacosme. It was discounted at 30% off RM114.89 for RM79.90 and I had an additional 30% off coupon from 11street so I ended up paying only RM55.93 for two Hada Labo lotions + 1 free 50g cleanser. I know, I know. I'm in awe too.

I made the order yesterday, on the 3rd of May 2016.

I shit you not. This arrived today at 11:30am. It took a day to get to Sarawak.

Picture taken on 4 May 2016 with my jaws on the ground
Holy crap on a cracker (but in a good way). To say I'm impressed doesn't even begin to cover it. Did they see my order and immediately drove to the post office with my products?! This is amazing!

Everything inside was protected 100% since the box is made of adamantium. I'm kidding. But it was sturdy and kept everything inside perfectly. I'm definitely keeping the box to store my extra lotions and products. Anyways, Ive tossed it, but there were bubble wraps around the lotions to keep it save, and the two samples were stowed neatly in a plastic cover.

I've already opened the lotion up to patch test on my entire face. It has a mild scent that I can't quite place (or maybe no scent at all and my nose is merely picking up the plastic. The texture is waterly but spreadable and it sinks into the skin so well.

Anyways, Hada Labo is great, NattaCosme is also great. I love everything about this order. Thanks! :)
