[Aliexpress/Shopee Leggings Review] Wmuncc Shopee and Aliexpress Leggings Review

Price: RM34.99 | $11.94
Brand: Wmuncc
Review: 9/10

My leggings adventure continues! I bought these leggings from Shopee Malaysia, but they are also available on Aliexpress, which ships worldwide for free. It is cheaper for me to have it shipped from the Shopee Site and because they have their own free shipping program that promises a shorter shipping period (~2 weeks or less), I went with Shopee instead of Aliexpress. However, if you're not in Malaysia, Aliexpress is a perfectly fine alternative.

Wmuncc appears to be a sports apparel shop that is based in China and I chose this particular pair of pants because I rather like the design and I am obsessed with pink. It's such a soft, fun color and I wanted to own it. I bought the pink leggings in Size M and on hindsight, I should have went with my normal size S.

Wmuncc on shopee offers a lot of sportswears, all of which I want to own. I find that they're cheaper on shopee than on their international Aliexpress site and the administrator for the shopee site says that it is because they're new on the shopee platform and are offering promotional prized items to draw in more new customers, which I take as 'buy everything before the price increases'!

I purchased this early September and it took 2 weeks for the leggings to arrive at my doorstep, which is faster than Aliexpress, which normally takes 4 weeks to arrive. It is made of 72% Polyester, 18$ Nylon and 10% Spandex and has such a fascinating and different texture from any other leggings that I own. The material is almost like knitted cloth inside, with little bumps that leaves a kind of mark on my skin, but it's surprisingly comfortable to wear. I find that whenever I wear polyester-heavy leggings for long periods of time, my skin will get itchy and uncomfortable, but thankfully I have not experienced that with this pair of leggings. I've been wearing this for yoga, cardio, weight-training and just everyday leisurewear.
Size M is pretty loose on me, though I like that the extra length allows me to cover all the way to my heels. My normal pants size is 'S' and size M is kind of loose on me. The waistband is pretty compressive, but because I had gotten the wrong size, the band rests way way up instead of where it's supposed to, and I'm left with a tiny waist, and a huge pouch of a stomach. This is fixable by folding the material down and it's a comfortable enough for me to keep wearing it, but I do wonder if it's a problem with size S as well since the length only varies by 2cm for the S and M.

My current details:

Height: 157cm
Weight: 47kg
Waist: 64cm
Hip: 87cm

I say go with your normal size for this one for the best fit. M was too big for me, but that's really on me for ordering a size up. I keep doing it too cause I like the extra ankle length, which is really perplexing because I am rather... vertically challenged. 157cm is shorter than average and if I'm finding size S leggings too short, I can only imagine how all of you guys feel. ><

There is no front seam and the cutting is a bit off, but only because I got the wrong size. Everything just sits a little bit wrong. Due to the light-colored material, these leggings are definitely not squatproof. I say go with the darker color if you care about that, but personally, I don't really care.

Despite the wrong size, I find myself really liking these pair of leggings. For this price, the quality is really perfect for what I'm looking for. I'll purchase others from Wmuncc for sure and actually do have a few other leggings and other assorted sportswears from them that I will be reviewing soon!

[Aliexpress Leggings Review] Shinbene Classical 3.0 Buttery-soft Leggings Review

Price: RM95.43 (Discounted to RM87 with vouchers)
Brand: Shinebene Colorvalue

Review: 10/10

I bought these leggings from Aliexpress way way back in July 13th and it was shipped out in July 16th. It was delivered a few days ago on August 14th, so about a full month of delivery time, which is rather long, but quite expected. Even pre-Covid, it would take Aliexpress an average of 4 weeks to arrive to Malaysia. As usual, the waiting time is probably a few days shorter if you're in West Malaysia.

Here is what the tracking looks like as it gets closer to delivery. Don't be too worried about 'import clearance failure' since that generally just means it's taking a while longer than usual to clear customs. I seem to get this notification when I'm just buying jewelry from Aliexpress too.
Shinbene on Aliexpress is really highly recommended by youtubers and Facebook groups. Shinbene specializes in sports apparel and is based in China. These are the priciest pair of leggings I have ever gotten, but I am also really curious about the quality of the Aliexpress pants vs Shopee pants, which uses similar pictures and claim to be made from similar composition, 80% nylon, 20% elastane.

After a lot of indecision regarding the color and sizing, I decided to get it in my normal size xs, which is a size 4. My normal pants size is 's', but size 4 appears to match better according to the size chart.

After a lot of indecision regarding the color and sizing, I decided to get the Shallow Lotus Ash color in size xs, which is a size 4. My normal pants size is 's', but size 4 appears to match better according to the size chart. Reviewers mostly say to size down when in between sizes because the material is very stretchy. I kind of wish I had sized up, to be honest. Maybe gone with my normal size S, which might have given me more length. I like my leggings to be below the ankle and size XS left it a little bit above my ankle even though it fit pretty perfect everywhere else.

They have sizes XXS-2, XS-4, S-6, M-8, and L-10 and so, so many colors to choose from.

My current details:
Height: 157cm
Weight: 47kg
Waist: 64cm
Hip: 87cm

Most of my fat goes straight to my hips and thighs, so size S would have fit better for me. There's very little compression in these pants even though I had sized down to XS and I honestly think if I got it in size S, I could actually wear these to sleep. That's how comfortable these pants are. I would get this in a size bigger if I were to get another pair, which I am so, so tempted to do.

The material of these pants are amazing af omg. They're really buttery soft and like the Uniqlo Leggings that I tried before, but better. I did cardio and kettleweight workout in these and they stretch well with maybe a tensy bit of cameltoe.

There is no front seam and the cutting is absolutely perfect. I love everything about it. Snug around the waist without being suffocating and comfortable at the hips and it isn't suffocating my ankles, like the uniqlo.

So far, this is the favorite pair of leggings that I have gotten.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but when it's discounted. At full price, RM95.43 is quite a steep price and the long delivery time of ~1 month generally gets me really impatient.

[Shopee Leggings Review] yuanjiasport.my Shopee Malaysia Leggings Review And Refund Experience

Price: RM70.73 (Discounted to RM45.97)
Brand: Yuanjiasport.my
Link to purchase: Shopee Malaysia Link
Review: 3/10

Continuing my obsession with leggings, I purchased a pair from Shopee (which has literally everything). I made this order on the 19th July and received it on the 30th of that same month, which is amazing delivery time. It will undoubtedly be faster if you were in West Malaysia since I'm in East Malaysia and the sorting warehouse in KL is swamped.

Yuanjiasport.my appears to be a sports apparel shop that's based in China and I chose this particular pants because of it's double nylon design and the 80% nylon and 20% spandex composition of the material, which promises to be a more comfortable fabric. The reviews on the clothing seems pretty good too.

They have so many colors available and after much hemming and hawing and putting every single color available into my cart and careful process of elimination, the color that I chose was the garnet red, which looks absolutely wonderful. I love garnets (the gemstone) and figured I would enjoy a legging that would match my garnet bracelets.

Instead, this is what I got:
Words cannot convey the amount of disappointment I felt upon receiving this. Lol. What color even is this? And what's with all the stitching falling apart already? I took the picture yesterday as soon as the items arrived, so these fraying and unraveling of stitches is already happening before I even put it through the wash. I dread to think what would happen if I were to actually put it in the machine. Would the whole thing just disintegrate? Only time will tell.

Just to make the point even clearer. This was the color I expected to get:
I took several more pictures and asked the seller if they sent me the wrong color and if I should be worried about the fraying and I received two answers which boiled down to:

1) Yes, this is garnet red. Pictures on the shopee site will be different because of monitor differences.

2) The fraying is reinforced sewing and it's normal.

I thought, alright, maybe I'm making a fuss out of nothing. Maybe I'm color blind. Maybe stitches are supposed to look like that and I'm just ignorant. But it was at the moment I remembered that I do own other pairs of leggings that I can compare this to. Lo and behold, no frays or fuzzies or 'reinforced stitching with bits sticking out'.
This is the uniqlo leggings that I've purchased before and have been through the wash several times and none of the stitches are fraying. The original selling price is rather similar too. It was RM79 and discounted to RM59 (compared to original price of RM70 and discounted to RM46). That's a RM13 price difference (after discounts) and the difference in quality is so vast. The cutting is so much neater and the material on the uniqlo leggings has a better compression (although it does tend to be a bit too tight on me).

Alright. Maybe the color is just really intense on their screen. Two can play that game. I played with the color saturation filter on my camera and got this:
Grey-purple at best. I put red packets (ang pows) at the side to confirm that I'm not colorblind and that I know what red is supposed to look like. Lol.

The thing is, though, the material of the Shopee Leggings are actually not that bad. It's soft and comfortable to wear and hugs at my body quite comfortably. The 80% nylon and 20% spandex composition means it is very stretchy and soft, while still being sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about ripping it when I'm doing more vigorous exercises, though it is still thin enough that you'd have to wear seamless underwear or it will tell everyone exactly what type of underwear you're wearing underneath.

Regardless, I would have been happy if 1) the color was accurate and 2) the seams weren't falling apart already.

The seller gave me a vague, "We will give you discount at your next purchase". I considered taking the offer at first before remembering the last time I accepted such vague terms on an unsatisfactory product, I was given a RM2 discount on further purchases. Lol. Macam kena tipu. Also, the more I look at the frays, the more disappointed I felt.

There are many cheaper options in shopee and in that shop itself. I thought that by buying a pricier pair, I would be getting one of higher quality. That is obviously not what happened here, though I do have to say that the quality of the material itself is pretty good. It really is just the color and stitching that disappointed me.

I always feel a little bad opening refund requests, but money is money and if this were to happen to any local stores, I would just bring it in store and gotten it exchanged for the right color (and probably found a better quality). Since it's based in China, that's not as simple.

So, I opened a refund request. For the RM45 pair, I opened a refund request for RM40, expecting the seller to counter offer with something lower.

Shopee has this neat new feature where we can haggle with refunds, which I am very tickled by. I haven't needed to open a refund on shopee for years and didn't know when this new feature was added, but it's super cool and I am very impressed by it. Kudos to you, shopee! :D

The seller countered with an offer of RM10.

I was totally expecting a counter offer, but to be honest, at this point, I was kind of having fun with the ability to counter offer. My friend jokingly told me to counter with RM39. Lol. I countered with a RM20, figuring that would be a reasonable middle ground to meet at, which is still less than half of the RM46 I paid for the pair.

The seller countered back with RM10.

Woi. This isn't how haggling works. 😅

But at this point, I've accepted the seller isn't going to go above RM10 and brought the dispute up for shopee to handle.

Partly, I'm curious about how shopee would handle this since I recalled the last time I brought up a clothing dispute with shopee (3-4 years ago?) with the seller in china sending me the wrong color, wrong size, and wrong design (just wrong everything lar), shopee cs responded with 'return shipping to china mahal (expensive) and clothes can still wear wad~'. I received a partial refund (less than half) for that purchase, but I'm still a bit miffed by it since those clothes have continued to be literally useless to me.

Today (31st July) is a public holiday, so Shopee probably won't be able to help with anything. I'll update this post as it continues though! For now, I'm giving the item a 3/10 due to it's comfortable material.

Update: Shopee acknowledged that there was something wrong with the leggings, the colors, fraying, ect, but also said that because China is so far away, returns would cost too much. They refunded me RM15.  I'm feeling rather meh about it, to be honest, but it's better than nothing, I suppose.

I'm torn on whether I would recommend the seller. Perhaps I am just unlucky and have gotten a bad pair, since the other reviews on the site have been quite positive, but I have also noticed some reviews sharing that the colors are not true to the real item. The vibrant, lovely colors displayed on the screen all look more grey in reality.

If you do decide on getting a pair from this seller, I'd recommend asking for a picture of the item before playing an order to avoid disappointment. :) Or maybe go with the black pairs. Can't go wrong with that one. XD

[Leggings Review] Uniqlo Women AIRism Soft Leggings Malaysia

Price: RM79.90 (sometimes discounted to RM59.90)
Brand: Uniqlo
Link to purchase: Uniqlo Malaysia Official Site
Review: 7/10

I've recently developed an obsession with leggings because I've discovered just how much more comfortable it is to do workouts (at home & at the gym) while wearing leggings instead of the baggy pants that I'm used to that requires a lot of hiking and tugging the pants up because the elastic bands have frayed and/or the pants simply weren't designed to be worn whilst working out.

This is a new series of reviews I'll be doing, in which as my online purchases begin to arrive, I'll be able to start comparing and contrasting the different pants I've gotten from different brands. I have several purchases on the way already. :D

The first of the review will feature a brand that I am fast getting obsessed with, Uniqlo. Uniqlo is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer that is known for producing timeless, comfortable fashion wear with good durability for both men and women.

I have several purchases from Uniqlo already, but for this review, let's look at the Uniqlo AIRism Soft Leggings that comes in several colors.

They have generic colors, from black, gray, wine, and navy, so some less.. conventional colors.
The unusual colors seem to go for slight cheaper, though, and personally, I prefer the more fun colors. I bought the pair in green while it was discounted to RM59.90 and I kind of wish I had gotten it in red as well.
It looks closer to neon coral and is such a bright, happy color. Unfortunately, while I was trying this out in the changing room, I found that the neon color is not very forgiving for any cellulite. >< The material for the gray, red, and beige is 75% polyester and 25% spandex, but the material for the black and green is 72% polyester and 28% spandex. I'm not sure how the material difference would translate, since I have only gotten it in green.

The fabric of this is incredible. I love, love, love how this feels to have on. It's breathable and not see through. It's a thick material, but I didn't find it warm, even in the hot and humid Malaysia weather and I worked out in this just fine as well. It's sweat-wicking, so there're no embarrassing dark spots even when I'm sweating. The green is squat-proof but both brighter colors give VPL (visible panty lines), so maybe I'll need to match this with one of their AIRism seamless panties. :)

Here's the size chart for this particular pants. It's also available on the site. Uniqlo appears to be have different size charts for their varying designs, so it's important to check.
My current details:
Height: 157cm
Weight: 47kg
Waist: 64cm
Hip: 87cm
Size S is supposed to fit 60-66cm waist and 85-91 hips. I purchased a size S for this. The length is just right for me, resting at my ankles and at 157cm I am rather short, so I wonder how this would fit for those of you who're taller.
There's a review on the site that says to size down if you're in between sizes and since it will stretch a little bit during wearing. I generally wear a size S in uniqlo, but I am rather bottom heavy. Testing the S and M had me a little bit torn, since the M is too loose around the waist but perfect at the hips, and while the S is a better fit at the waist but almost a little too tight at the hips and especially around the ankles.
The fit for the ankle is so tight even for my arm! Lol.

The material is stretchy enough that a few wears should be able to make it more comfortable, but I do wonder if I should have sized up, since I'm actually not so keen on wearing it because of how tight the fit is. Maybe I just have fat ankles. lol.

Because it's so tight, when I am doing cardio or pilates, the middle seam seems to fold in a little (boo cameltoe). Not an issue when I'm working out at home, but not something that I'd want happening if I ever wear this outside. Perhaps this is a perfect pair of leggings for some, but I'm rather bottom heavy (all my weight goes to my hips and waist) and S size just isn't the right fit for me. The material folds over somewhat, an issue which really makes me wonder if sizing up would help.

Would I repurchase? Maaaybe? The material is really super comfortable and I really do enjoy uniqlo clothing. Maybe I will size up and see if it would fit better.

[Review] CSHEON Brown Leather Long Wallet - Authentic Malaysia Leather

There is a timelessness with leather products that immediately associates them with quality and durability. Leather has been crafted into clothes and accessories since the Paleolithic age. That's roughly 2.5 billion years ago, when the earliest human still lived in caves and hunted with sharpened stones. Back then, animal hide is used to cover themselves. The process has been changed and improved since then, of course, but the basic principals in the production of leather have stayed largely the same: Preparation, tanning, crusting, drying, and softening.

Csheon takes the production of leather to the next level. Founded by Carmen Sheon in 2016, the leather products in CSHEON are carefully crafted based on individual needs. No two leather products are ever the same and with CSHEON's personalized design and quality finishes, and if you choose to visit their workshop for a class, then the style that you come up with will be truly your own.

CSHEON is an independent designer brand that manufactures leather pieces fully by hand locally in Malaysia. All pieces are made from genuine leather. They're available in Robinsons Four Seasons KL and Zalora MY with free delivery to Penisular Malaysia and discounted shipping for Sabah and Sarawak. They also carry their items on their official website, https://c-sheon.com/

Their website is ridiculously fancy and appears to carry a wider selection compared to what's available on Zalora. Their shop also offers COVID Essential items such as masks and leather pouches.

CSHEON hand crafts each of their leather accessories and choose full grain leather. Full grain leather includes the outer hide, which has finer and more densely packed fibers. This translates to higher durability and strength. This is considered top-grain leather and is the highest quality leather, often used to make furniture and footwear because of their hardiness.

In addition to limited edition belts, bags, card holders, jewelry, and wallets, CSHEON also allow buyers to build your own bags, which I think is super cool and lets your really personalize exactly what you want. They appear to offer Leather Handcraft Class as well. Those interested can get in touch with them through their facebook page

When CSHEON approached me to do a review of their product, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was too curious to turn away from the opportunity. A few weeks later, this appeared in my mail:

Isn't this just the fanciest little box? The rose gold exterior appears to be made of hard cardboard or plastic of some sort with little gold legs and a silver handle for easier handling. It's absolutely adorable and I love it.
Inside the box, there's a CSHEON tag with a promotion code that offers a discount for a next purchase as well as an authenticity card. The authenticity card is a nice touch to make sure that we're getting the official (legitimate) product from the brand.

Now, onwards to the star of the show!

Inside the box is the CSHEON Brown Leather Long Wallet Gold Buckle, which is also available on their official store as well as on Zalora for RM699. It is also available in shades pink, chest brown apple green, and dark brown.

Like all their other products, this brown calfskin long wallet is exclusively designed by CSHEON and fully handcrafted, each cut out made by hand with hand-sewn threads that offers better durability than machine-sewed products.
The interior is made of soft lambskin leather and has four card-slots available with a bigger compartment for keeping cash. The lambskin leather is very soft to the touch.
Here's a sideview cause I'm really impressed with the final finish of the product. Very comfortable and sturdy.
The wallet comes with a metal buckle that's gold in color that completes the timeless design. The buckle clicks in and requires just a soft touch to come undone for easy access. The design of the wallet is firm enough that I don't need to worry about money dropping out of the bag as long as the buckle is clipped.
There's an additional compartment at the back of the wallet, which is a nice touch to the overall look of the wallet.

The more I look at it, the more I fancy the simple, yet elegant design of the whole thing. CSHEON offers a variety of other products and some of their bags are simply magnificent. Each piece is unique in it's own way as genuine leather has grain patterns that are distinctive and singular. With proper care, leather can last forever.

Take a look at their shop for more:
