[Review] Bourjois Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet Liquid Lipstick

Price: NA
(Received as a review item from Bourjois Malaysia)
Verdict: 8/10
Repurchase: No

Product and Packaging

The Bourjois' Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet Liquid Lipstick is sure a mouthful. It's really such ridiculously long name that tries to tell you what to expect for the lipstick, but doesn't really succeed all that much. Rouge means red powder or cream used in cosmetics, and souffle can either mean a low murmuring sound heard through a stethoscope or a light, spongy baked dish made from adding flavored egg yolks to beaten (fluffy) egg whites. Judging from the name, I'll be getting a red lipstick that applies like cake, which is exciting, to say the very least!

I quite like the packaging of the lipstick. It's weird, but I'm not a fan of cylindrical lipsticks all that much, possibly because it's everywhere and that tends to be boring. The vivid color of the casing is actually quite misleading, seeing as the product itself isn't actually so vivid a color. The one here is in Shade 07 Plum Plum Pidou.  It promises to last for 10 hours, providing hydrating while adding a light veil of color to the lips with the soft, velvety texture providing balm comfort.

Ingredients and Directions

I couldn't find the ingredients for this on their own website, which is a travesty but I managed to get a list of the ingredients on superdrug.com here:

Dimethicone,Aqua (Water),Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer,Jojoba Esters,Butyl Acrylate/Hydroxypropyl Dimethicone Acrylate Copolymer,Butylene Glycol,Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax,Saccharide Isomerate,Phenoxyethanol,Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax,Polyglycerin-3,Parfum (Fragrance),Citric Acid,Sodium Citrate,Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone,Linalool,Citronellol,Geraniol,[+/- (May Contain):Mica,Ci 12085 (Red 36),Ci 15850 (Red 6),Ci 15850 (Red 7 Lake),Ci 15985 (Yellow 6 Lake),Ci 17200 (Red 33 Lake),Ci 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake),Ci 42090 (Blue 1 Lake),Ci 45410 (Red 28 Lake),Ci 45380 (Red 22 Lake),Ci 73360 (Red 30 Lake),Ci 75470 (Carmine),Ci 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride),Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides),Ci 77742 (Manganese Violet),Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)].

I ran this through cosdna and one of the things that really grabbed my attention was the amount of fragrances that showed 5-7 on safety. There are four fragrances present, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Linalool, Citronellol and Geraniol, with the first three reading as 5 on safety while the last read as 7. Geraniol is an alcohol and is the primary part of rose oil, palmarosa oil, and citronella oil. It's present in a number of essential oils though and has a rose-like scent, which probably explains why this smells nice. :)

This can either be applied useing your fingertips for a softer look or the applicator to build up coverage.

First Impressions

The shade for #Plum Plum Pidou is pinkish rather than plum or red. It applies shimmery but as you spread it, it dries to a matte finish. I was worried it would be too vivid, but it was actually a very natural coverage.

It applies very smoothly (almost gliding) on my lips and dries matte, but wasn't overly so. There's still a slight shimmer to it. It wasn't drying by any means. Upon application, it was slightly oily, but not unpleasantly so, like a mousse. It's balmy texture gives my lips hydration with a hint of color and smells pleasantly sweet but not too overwhelmingly so.

Overall, I'm very happy with this! The color is a tad too light though, but I've been using this together with the Rire by applying the Rire lipsticks first, which dries really matte, then using this as a second layer.

The reason why I wouldn't be getting any other colors is because I believe this is a good shade for me. In addition, I did some research online and it seems the color difference between the different shades of Bourjois Rouge Edition isn't that extreme. That is to say, if you have one, you have them all since the colors are all so similar.

Pros:
  • Applies easily (can be used on the go)
  • Possible to layer over other colors
  • Smells delightful
  • Gives a natural color to lips

Cons:
  • Stains. No matter what I do, the lipstick doesn't stick to my lips very well and tend to stain everything, so the staying power isn't all that impressive either.
  • I tried to layer this, but the color tends to sit over one another and just doesn't look very nice, so while it's possible to apply a layer of this over other lipsticks, it's not possible to layer this by itself.

Price & Shop

BBCosmetic.com sent these to me as sponsored products but all thoughts are my own, as always. It's sold for $6.70 per piece, but the entire set is $24.50, which makes it slightly cheaper if you're a fan of all the colors in the set, which are #04 Deep Plum, #05 Muse Red, #10 Wine Burgundy, and #11 Pink Brown. In addition, you get a free lip tint remover, which is a pretty sweet deal, but only if you're a fan of all these colors, I suppose!

I've made about 9 purchases from bbcosmetic.com and am a huge fan of their shop, especially their 50% off deal on their facebook page. All the mini-purchases. I regret nothing.

Ingredients and Directions

The directions simiply says to take a suitable amount of lip manicure and put it on, following the lip line.

The lip remover is 15ml and says to rub the lips softly with a moderate amount of the liquid, then cleanse with a tissue. I found that using tissue can be really rough for my lips though, so I do prefer water.

I couldn't find the extensive list of ingredients for the lip manicures, but the main ingredients were apparently rosehip oil, avocado oil, mascadamis seed oil, vitamin e, and so on. I do wonder how much of these ingredients are present, however, since the lip products were all a little on the drying side.

First Impressions

I wasn't really keen on trying these when bbcosmetic sent them to me in the beginning, to be completely honest. They were gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but I have a few lip tints that I have yet to finish, such as the Choonee Lip Tint Balms and Berrisom Oops My Lip Tint Pack. However, this brought another thing to the table altogether. I was really surprised by how much I'm loving these. I would never have bought these on my own, but now that I've tried a few, I really want to try out more of the other colors. There's 10 available, from #01 Warm Peach to #11 Pink Brown. #06 is a transluscent top coat.

The colors here are #05 Muse Red, #10 Wine Burgundy, #11 Pink Brown and #04 Deep Plum respectively. I smeared a fair bit of the product on my wrist, as you can see, and was quite pleased by how the colors look on my hand! The colors were really vivid and dries ridiculously quickly! I was hoping that I could just take these off with water if I do everything quickly, but merely seconds later, I was left with a smear of colors over my entire arm that I had to bath in oil cleanser to get clean again.

I'm really surprised by how matte this dries. The color turned out to be not as scary as I thought! It dries to a gorgeous matte that can be a little bit on the drying side, so an additional lip balm application would be perfect. I was prepared to hate these, but they turned out really lovely. They dry super quickly and leaves a full coverage that lasts a good few hours.
I'm a little confused why the application wands are different. There appears to be two different wands, but both get the job done, so I'm alright with that. They're also a litle on the short side and while the packaging is cute, it's also not really optimal for holding, to be honest.

The scent is faintly fruity and quite pleasant. It was pretty tasteless too. >< I tend to be overeager with application and get it too close to my lipline and end up tasting them, so that's a huge plus.

Without further ado, here are the swatches of all the different lip colors I received in the box. Apologies in advance for picture quality. My phone's front camera isn't as good as it's main camera.

#03 Deep Plum

This was the first one that I tried and I love, love it. It dries so matte and is a really beautiful shade of dark pink that I'm absolutely in love with. The color was not as striking or as out of place as I had thought it would be just by looking at the swatch on my hand. I can see myself wearing this lip manicure on fun dates whilst wearing bright colored dresses. ^^

#05 Muse Red

The Muse Red applies a little orange in certain lighting for me. This is taken in natural light. When the room's dimmer, the color is noticably redder. It's a beautiful shade as well, but I prefer the plum more than the red.

#10 Wine Burgundy

This particular color was a miss for me, unfortunatley. No matter what I did, the color difference on my inner lip just won't go away, so I end up looking just like what it feels, like I'm wearing a lip tint that's way too dark for my lip color. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and there's a trick to applying darker lip tints. If so, please let me know in the comments? It does have a fairly badass feel to it though. ^^

#11 Pink Brown

This was an odd color for me! It actually ended up complementing my lip color, bringing it up to a brighter shade pink brown like a mild emphasis on my lips. As you can see in the picture, it's just the tiniest difference, but noticable nevertheless!

Lip Tint Remover

The lip tint remover gets the job done, as you can see. All I needed to do was rub the dense liquid on my lip, then rub it off with a tissue. It leaves my lip fairly moist, which I appreciate because the lip manicure is drying.

Performance

I'm really pleased with these overall! I was surprised by how much I ended up loving these because I initially thought I would hate them and just ignore them completely after testing them. I couldn't have been more wrong! These were really much better than I expected. They dry really quickly and the color lasts throughout the day. I can also apply a second layer over it to play around. For example, I layered #11 Pink Brown over #03 Deep Plum and ended up with the tint shown above. I'm a fan, for sure.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • None-staining since it dries quickly
  • Possible to layer other colors over tint and apply lip balm
  • 10 colors to choose from
  • Smells delightful
  • Good staying power

Cons:

  • A little drying (but can be offset with lip balm) ^^

[Review] Mizon Correct Combo Perfect Moisture Pact SPF 50+ PA+++

Price: NA
(Won from 0.8L Malaysia)
Verdict: 9/10
Repurchase: Maybe

Price & Shop

My sister won this from 0.8L Malaysia, which was odd considering the item she joined for was a lipstick. She got this in addition to the lipstick, which is pretty awesome, imo. Unfortunately (fortunately?), she doesn't use cushions at all and her skin is fairly sensitive, so she graciously decided to hand this over to me. I don't use cushions either, but I was ready to try this out nevertheless because why not?

The Mizon Correct Combo Perfect Moisture Pact is available on Hermo.my for RM158.  I've also seen it on Amazon and Koreadepart (For $24). The case is on the bulky side, but it's still absolutely gorgeous. It's in a matte, round, black case that doesn't result in fingerprints though, so yay!

Ingredients and Directions

Instructions says to press the button in the lower side of the pact to get the product to come out, then to apply the puff to the cream, then skin, starting at the center of the face and blending outward. After opening, you're supposed to press the lower button 10 - 20 times before any product showsup though, so don't panic if nothing shows up immediately.

As for ingredients... I picked this from the Singapore's Althea store:

Texture & Fragrance

There's a mild scent to this pact that I can't really put my finger to but quickly disappears once it's applied. It's not an overwhelming fragrance and not too unpleasant, so I was pretty alright with this.

The texture of the product is pretty lightweight so it applies quite smoothly without leaving an obvious layer on top. This is coming from someone who's literally never used a cushion before and isn't used to having anything other than moisturizer and sunscreen on, so that's saying something. The coverage is only average though; it doesn't really cover the darker pimple marks on my cheek. :(

Performance

This is a high functional premium CC pact that apparently can make skin healthier and brighter with highly moisturizing nutriion due to it's Mizon HydraTox Technology, developed with Snow Algae, Hydrasalinol, Hydarnov, and Moringa extract, none of which makes any sense to me. All this, according to the description of the pack, can control temperatrue change of the skin as well as give maximum moisturizing effect and strengthen natural defense structure of the skin.

Before I talk about performance, I'm just going to emphasize again that I don't have anything to compare this to, so grain of salt and ymmv.

That said, I think I would love this if it was the right shade. At #21, it's too light for my skin. For comparison, I'm Natural #21 for Laneige, but seem to be #23 for every other brand. I layer this with the Innisfree No-Sebum Powder and those two together it really helps oil control. My skin tends to start getting oily towards the end of the day though (about 10 hours in). Even though it's a little lighter on my skin, it wasn't too horrible, possibly because it's medium coverage instead of trying to conceal my skin color altogether with it's #21 Light Beige. The color seems to even out eventually and I don't look like a member of the walking dead.

I really like that it has UV protection, though I do use a proper sunscreen before applying this. I don't mind wearing this for the entire day. Would I repurchase this? Definitely maybe. :)

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Lightweight coverage that applies easily
  • Scentless-ish (smell disappears after applying to skin)
  • Helps brighten and moisturizes.
  • UV Protection (SPF 50+ PA+++)

Cons
  • Doesn't give full coverage (though this was a blessing for me since it wasn't the right shade anyways)

[Review] Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Price: NA
Verdict: 9/10
Repurchase: Maybe

Price & Shop

I won this from 0.8L Malaysia's instagram share and win contest a few months back and recieved it about a month after winning it.  I reviewed it briefly on my instagram account too. :) You can also buy this from my.althea.kr or any local Innisfree stores you can access. It also came with an Innisfree  Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam which I will be reviewing shortly. :)

I'm really glad I won this since I seem to have a addiction to wash off masks, clay masks, and just masks in general. This is one of the best loved items in Korean skincare and I have only managed to try and small sample from Innisfree's best loved kit a while back.  I initally thought this caused a bad reaction on my skin, but that turned out to be completely wrong and my skin was just freaking out from travelling.

Ingredients and Directions

Ingredients: Water, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Volcanic Ash, Glycerin, Silica, Trehalose, Kaolin, Bentonite, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Oxide (Ci 77947), Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Pvp, Peg-100 Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Xanthan Gum, Iron Oxides (Ci 77499), Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Sorbitan Stearate, Polyacrylate-13, Mannitol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lactic Acid, Polyisobutene, Menthoxypropanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Polysorbate 20, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491), Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol

The CosDNA is fairly okay, with the highest rating at 3 for Hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is an odd thing to have in a clay mask and really shouldn't be in there in the first place.

Directions: After cleansing, wipe your face gently with the toner to even out skin texture. Then apply the mask voer the entire face, avoiding the eye and lip afrea. After 10 minutes, gently rinse off withe lukewarm water using your fingertips.

Texture & Fragrance

So, here's something odd about this mask. When I got it as a part of a sample in the Innisfree store, the texture of this clay mask was noticably thicker and drier, taking a significant amount more in order to be spreadable on my skin whereas in the bottle, it's actually quite soft and smooth and applies really easily. It's lightweight and doesn't dry tight. That's interesting. I would hope that the sample would be the same as the original product but no, the full-sized product is so much better. It could be because the sample has been around longer and has dried out somewhat.

I didn't need much of this at all to spread it on my entire face, which is very nice and means it would last a good long while. The texture of this mask is softer than the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque Pack, which was surprising for me. I prefer the packaging of the Queen Helene's mask though, since that came in a tube and minimized contamination. There's also tiny capsules on the mask that melts (bursts) as you spread this on your skin.

It smells... like nothing. Actually, it's not fragranced so unless your nose is really sensitive, I don't think you can smell anything annoying about it. :)

Performance

This is me with the sample clay mask that I tried! ^^ It aims to shrink pores, control sebum, exfoliate, deeply cleanse, brighten, and cools. I think it satisfies 5 out of 6 of the promised functions because I don't see how it managed to brighten my skin tone. It does do everything else though, which is great. :) The super version is apparently marketed for those with oilier skin (like mine) while the normal is for dry/normal skin.

The difference between this mask and the Queen Helene masks and the Elizavecca mask is that it leaves my skin super soft after. It's less stripping and is capable of doing everything the two other masks promised, which is a nice thing, I suppose. It's slightly cooling upon application which I enjoy because the Queen Helene Mint Mask tends to be super tingly and minty, which is fun, but I want to just relax and have less excitement in my life sometimes. XD It's also less harsh and Oh! Did you know you could just roll off this mask? I tried this a few times, but found that I much prefer washing this off instead of rolling off the mask with my finger tips because it's much gentler for my skin that way.

I would repurchase this if I ever run out of the product, but I also want to keep my options open. There are so many other masks out there and I want to try all the them. All. Of. Them.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Exfoliates, controls sebum, cleanses, shrinks pores (temporarily), and cools
  • Pretty reasonably priced at RM39 on Althea Malaysia

Cons
  • Packaging isn't too hygenic (-0.5)
  • Product seems to dry up if you don't use it up quickly (as proven by the sample that I have that's pretty dried up) (-0.5)

Verdict: 9/10

[Review] Elizavecca Deep Power Ringer Mask Sheet - Tea Tree & Vita Deep

Texture & Performance

The smell for this isn't as overwhelming as the other masks. The essense is also super drippy. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I preceed mask sessions with Hada Labo Moist Lotion and Scinic Honey AIO. It helps with moisturization and absorption of products.

Halfway through trying to review this, I realized that I bought these masks and should really stop reviewing them if I hated them so much. Why am I putting myself through this? It's not like someone's paying me to put these masks on my face or anything. If I hate them, I should just put them aside and call them a loss.

With that in mind, here's a pretty pictures of all the Elizacecca masks I managed to soldier through. There won't be any more reviews of them because I'm giving the last three to my younger sister, who doesn't seem have preferences for her sheet masks. She's happy as long as I give her any to use, so yay for her.

My overall opinion of the elizavecca masks are just horrendous. The tea tree was probably my favorite, but they were all quite horrible, to be completely honest. The fit, the smell, the performance, all just... bad. After doing just this mask for about 2 weeks, I actually considered quitting masking altogether because they just made me... sad. Thankfully, I put on a My Scheming mask and am in love with sheet masks all over again.

[Review] Elizavecca Deep Power Ringer Mask Sheet - Tea Tree & Vita Deep

Texture & Performance

This smells different than the rest of the masks I've tried in this line. Different how? Well, different BAD. It smells horrendous. I can't really put my finger to what it smells like. The entire time I had this on I was unhappy. I consoled myself with the thought that there's only three four more masks in this pack before I'm done completely. After this, I'm just going to wash my hands off Elizavecca masks altogether. No more.

I took this mask off after a little more than 5 minutes because I really couldn't handle the smell of the mask any more. It was so bad. On the other hand, it seemed to be more moisturizing than the rest of the masks in this line. Maybe that was the key to keeping my face moisturized instead of drying it out. Instead of keeping it on for 15-20 minutes, I should just leave it on for 5-10 minutes. It still left my face slightly sticky, but I noticed this wasn't as sticky as the other masks.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Moisturizing if left on for ~5 minutes
  • Not as sticky as other Elizavecca masks

Cons
  • Smells horrible (-2)
  • Doesn't fit well (-2)
  • Essence drips everywhere (-1)

[Review] Elizavecca Deep Power Ringer Mask Sheet - Tea Tree & Vita Deep

Texture & Performance

At first, I though the essence for this feels slightly thicker than the essence for the other masks I've tried in this line... though that thought quickly went away as I walked around dripping essense everywhere. I had a blocked nose when I woke up in the morning, though it went away after exercising for a little bit. The blocked nose came back when I was doing this mask so I blame the mask.

It smelled fruity and pretty much like all the other elizavecca mask in the line. with a hint of alcohol. It brought my stuffy nose back. :( After 30 minutes, it fell off my face, leaving it non-too-moisturized. My pores were more noticable after sheet masking than before and it left a sticky residue that I've come to associate with these sheet masks.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • None

Cons
  • It literally brought my flu back. (-20)

[Review] Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask

Price: NA
I got this from notahaul
Verdict: 8/10
Repurchase: No

This mask is a gift from a super kind friend who sells some of her stash over at NotaHaul on shopee, so do drop by if you're Malaysian and am interested in getting her stuff. I was saving this for a special occasion since these masks are slightly more expensive. I see them on Hermo on sale for RM49.90 for a pack of 10 during sales though, so it might be worth getting considering you're in West Malaysia.

These mask expire in September though, so I made sure to use it before!

Fit & Texture

The overall fit of the mask is alright. Not awesome, but not too bad either. It also has eyeflaps, which, I'm perfonally not a fan of since I tend to sheet mask while I do other things. I'm not going to use it, so it's just a waste of extra sheet. On the other hand, it also makes it so that my undereye area is getting some love from sheet masks too, so... yay?

It's made of 100% Pure Cotton and adheres quite nicely to my skin.

Ingredients

Water, Sodium hyaluronate, Butylene glycol, Peg-60 hydrogenated castor oil, Dimethyl sulfone, Betaine, Natto gum, Disodium edta, Centella asiatica extract, Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl acetate, Panthenol, Luffa cylindrica fruit/leaf/stem extract, Althaea rosea flower extract, Aloe barbadensis leaf extract, Fragrance, Portulaca oleracea extract, Lysine hcl, Proline, Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, Acetyl methionine, Theanine, Apium graveolens (celery) extract, Brassica oleracea capitata (cabbage) leaf extract, Brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, Brassica rapa (turnip) leaf extract, Daucus carota sativa (carrot) root extract, Oryza sativa (rice) bran extract, Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) fruit/leaf/stem extract

Ingredients is pretty extensive. Despite that, cosdna didn't really come up with anything that may cause acne or be irritating. It is specially formulated to moisturize skin, with one of the main ingredients being hyaluronic acid.

Performance

The packaging is a little weird, since, as you can see in the picture, the sheet mask itself is quite standard-sized. The plastic packaging is too big for it, which is quite a waste for a product that's already very wasteful. There was a little extra essense in the bag, which I promptly smeared over my neck and arms. First impression of the essense on the other parts of my body isn't all too good, to be honest. It's a little on the sticky side, which saddens me because it lauds to be without any stickness.

I put this in the fridge prior to using. The scent is mildly sweet. It's pretty nice. I actually enjoyed the occasional whift from the sheet mask. It doesn't feel too artificial.

After about half an hour of sheet masking, my face looked noticably brightened. It also soothed redness. and calmed my pimples. Unfortunately, it left my skin feeling sticky for a while, which I really didn't like. I know this is HG for many in terms of calming pimples, improving skin texture, ect, ect, but it didn't really do all that much more for me that other good masks (such as My Scheming masks) can do, which doesn't justify the higher price tag.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • It has eyeflaps, if you're into that sorta thing.
  • Moisturizing and calming, reducing redness and inflammation

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Leaves sticky residue

Lush N' Blush

I saw this website as an advertisement on Skinfood Malaysia because it's successfully become the only authorised Skinfood online seller in Malaysia. Lush N' Blush did a relaunch promotion late last month where shipping was free with all purchases so I headed to the store to check out the range of Skinfood products they offered. I was surprised to find that they stoke a pretty wide variety of Freeman masks for really competitive prices and couldn't resist. >< On the other hand, the Skinfood products that they do carry, seems to be a tad overpriced. There are some products that aren't available on online stores elsewhere, but are available for cheaper on Althea Malaysia.

The site is pretty easy to navigate. I particularly enjoy the fact that there wasn't any annoying popouts getting in my face.

A Little Background

The site has been around since 2013 and offers an extensive selection of  head-to-toe beauty and care. Their 'About us' page doesn't really go into much detail beyond sharing that it aims to bring consumers the best quality brands from around the globe at affordable prices.

The three main brands that they carry appear to be Skinfood (obviously), China Glaze (nail polish) and Freeman. They also carry Corine de Farme, evian, BioZ, Titania, Nature's Bounty, and many more brands, though the selection for the other brands aren't as extensive as the first three.

Shipping and Packaging

Shipping is free for orders over RM50 in West Malaysia and orders over RM100 in East Malaysia. Otherwise, it's RM10 and RM15 respectively, which isn't too bad. I think the tresholds are easily achievable.

As for packaging, I was quite pleased with what arrived at my door. As you can see in the picture above (and below of my purchase), they have a sturdy carboard box where they stuff their products in. My order arrived within 3 days of ordering, which is pretty impressive.

My Purchase & Samples

I admit, I was hungry when I made this haul. I actually wasn't looking to buy anything new, but then I saw they carried a good selection of Freemanbeauty products so I couldn't resist. They were only RM15 (~$3.6) each too, which made things extra hard. In conjunction, there was free shipping along with their relaunch and well... I just had to get my hands on this Freeman Chocolate and Strawberry Clay Mask because it sounded delicious.

Everything else in the purchase were extra gifts that they so generously gave me in conjuction with their relaunching.

My mini haul included:
  • Freeman Chocolate & Strawberry Clay Mask - RM15 for 150ml
    • This indulgent mask does more than tantalize your taste buds! Tone skin and diminish the appearance of large pores with oil-absorbing clays. Delight in delectable Chocolate and Strawberry while Shea and Cocoa Butter moisturize for smoother, softer skin

  • Freeman Diamond Mineral Rinse Mask - RM6.90 for 15ml - Free
    • Boosts Brilliance & Radiance your skin. Polish away dullness to reveal multi-faceted radiance. Antioxidant Sparkleberry extract helps fight off environmental assaults to enhance skin's look and feel over time. Unique mask rinses clean for a lasting, super-cool finish.
  • China Glaze Black Mesh - RM15 - Free
    • A night-black crackle polish: Chip Resistant, Long-Lasting, Durable
  • Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask - Free
I played around with the nail polish but it was completely black and it freaked my bf out, so... yeah... need to repurpose that somehow. I didn't apply a second coat to the polish and it started chipping on the second day, which was pretty disappointing in my opinion.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Free Shipping at RM50 (West Malaysia) and RM100 (East Malaysia)
  • Lots of samples (although I'm not certain how generous they would be with samples post launching promotion).
  • Freeman products are cheap and definitely worth getting
    • Definitely get the 150ml tubes instead of the 15ml. The prices for 15ml is half the 150ml even though 150ml has literally 10 times more product.

Cons
  • Skinfood items a little expensive
  • Free shipping treshold might be a little hard to reach for those in Sabah Sarawak (like me)

Price & Shop
I've written more extensively about this in my previous post regarding one of the masks in this pack, so if you've read that already, feel free to skip directly to Performance. Anyways, here goes my copy paste:

I bought these from BB Cosmetic during their Facebook 50% off deal. It's sold for $11.03 for a pack of ten and is $10.14  after the 8% coupon code (C10T190S3) with free shipping, which is a pretty good deal. That's ~$1 per sheet mask. :)

On the other hand, there are 10 sheet masks in the package, with no option to get just a specific type. Ten different sheet masks is a pretty risky deal, since there may be sheet masks that you love or hate with a vengeance. I hope there will be an option to get just one type of the mask in a pack of ten instead of ten different masks.

Ingredients & Directions

I have no idea what's on these masks because everything is in korean, but I still have this up because the instructions found on on these sheet masks insist I wash my face with toilet water to prepare the texture of the skin. Honest!
I'll update this space with list of ingredients as soon as I get my hands on them.

Fit & Performance

Everytime I put this sheet mask on, a little bit of my nose dies from being neglected.

The smell for this sheet mask is pretty overwhelming. It says milk but it smells heavily of a fruity alcoholic scent that I've come to associate with all these Power Ringer mask. This is the third mask of the line and I'm considering quitting masking altogether because I haven't really been enjoying them. I will, however, soldier throuhg the rest of these masks and hope I run out eventually (seven more to go!)

The essense of this sheet mask was not as watery as the fruit deep that I used earlier. The consistency is more viscous and as such, that meant I didn't drip all over everything. It's a nice change from the fruit mask that I tried, which made me look like I had a dip in the pool. That's not to say it didn't drip. As I'm writing this, essence started dripping onto my lap and moisturizing my thighs. yay? =.=

The mask was only alright. I wasn't a fan of how this mask smelled and I really wasn't a fan of how much dripping it did. It wasn't that this mask was soaked in esssense. I just get the feeling the material of the mask wasn't good at keeping it in the sheet mask.

The mask wasn't awful, but I wouldn't repurchase it either.
