I received this Juicyful Vitalizer Tone-Up Cream from www.jolse.com in exchange for honest reviews but all thoughts are my own, as usual. The  Juicyful Vitalizer Tone-Up Cream is available for $22.10 on Jolse. As the name suggests, it's a white cream formula that's able to immediately tone-up skin tone. In addition to it's instant brightening effect, it contains a number of ingredients that aid in long-term brightening such as niacinamide and vitamin capsules. It also contains naturally moisturizing ingredients.

Packaging and Ingredients

The packaging is nice and simple, coming in a tube of 100ml product that is sealed with a foil that is peeled off to use. The cap closes with the audible noise, so it's easy to tell when it's closed. ^^

The ingredients list is faily long but the only thing that shows up as acne and possible irritants on cosnda are butylene glycol (1), dimethicone (1), stearic acid (2), and mica (4,4). Algin is a fragrance and binding agent.

There's actually titanium dioxide in the product, which is a UVA and UVB sunscreen even though the cream doesn't claim have SPF, so it's probably only present in minimal percentage so shouldn't be used as a sunscreen. The other pigments used are CI 77491 and Mica.

Niacinamide is an effective skin-restoring ingredient that also has anti-aging properties. According to Paula's choice, it is able to improve the appearance of enlarge pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and a weakened skin surface.

Other noteable ingredients are the multiple plant extracts, including tea tree, rosemary, peppermeant leaf, lavender, and chrysanthellum indicum. Most of these are anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. They also provide soothing and healing properties. There are plenty of moistuizers in the ingredients, inclusing ceramide, betaine, panthenol, trehalose, allatoin, grape seed oil, and glycerin as well as a number of emollients.

I'm usually a little wary with ingredient lists that's excessively long since it increases the risk of skin sensitivities, but this cream has been very kind on my skin. ^^

Performance

The texture of the cream is well, creamy. It spreads very well and applies easily on the skin, absorbing fairly easily after only a little while. I initially thought this would be similar to another tone up cream that I've used, the Yeon Yowoo Whitening Cream, which also contains niacinamide and lauds as a tone up cream, but they're fairly different. This is much more moisturizing and absorbs better than the YoWoo cream. It also doesn't leave as much of a white cast on my skin.

I applied this on the right side of my hand, all the way up to my knuckles where you can see a clearer difference between the part that's applied and the part that's not. It's obvious without being too obvious, which is important to me because I don't fancy looking like the walking dead. It does offer slight coverage for blemishes, but barely, as you can still see the veins on the back of my hand. XD

I've used this a few weeks but not every day. It's a little heavy for my oily/combo skin and having a cream that tones up my skin isn't a goal for the moment, since I'm suffering from a few breakouts and I am focusing on healing and moisturizing without causing more breakouts. I'm really grateful this plays well with my skin, since my face has been freaking out over cleansers recently, breaking out left and right and making me look quite horrible. >< Anyways, if you're looking for a tone up cream with ingredients that moisturizes and actually helps brighten skin tone in the long term, I'd definitely recommend the product.

[Jolse Review] Hope Girl Jamong Cleansing Balm

The Hope Girl Jamong Cleansing Balm is available for $16.98 on Jolse.com but currently discounted to $14.43, price subjected to change according to conversion rate and deals. I really appreciate that Jolse gives a good few weeks in order for me to really try out the product and form and opinion. This is a truly interesting cleansing balm and I'm really enjoying this. Thank you, Jolse for the opportunity to try this! 

This balm is meant to keep the skin moist even during removal of thick make-ups and waterproof makeup products. The moist sherbet type balm dissolves smoothly on the skin and cleanses gently. This is a hypoallergenic product which is suitable for all skin types and does not include parabens, benzophenone, triclosan, triethonolamine, and BHT. 

Packaging

I'm honestly in love with the packaging of this product.  The colors are bright and vibrant, creating a lovely contrast on my vanity shelve full of products that's either white, green, or some variation of pale tones. The bright grapefruit design just brings a smile to my face every time I glance at it. 

There's a generous amount of product in the tube. This 75g cleansing balm is sure to last a good long while. In general, I like my products in tubes to keep it more sanitary, but that's impossible with this product due to the thick, sherbet-like consistency. 

Texture & Ingredients 

The tube survived the trip all the way from Korea to the sweltering heat in Malaysia without melting even a little bit! I was so impressed and it genuinely made me happy. The cleansing balm itself is pretty solid, as you can probably see from the picture, but a light touch from the spatula provided is all that is needed to spread it around. In addition, it melts into the skin so wonderfully! It smells wonderfully and decisively fruity. It's supposed to be grapefruit sherbet, which I'm not sure the scent of, but this is wonderful.

The first ingredient listed is *drumrolls* mineral oil! Hahaha. There's a lot of negativity surrounding that particular ingredient, but really, I don't think it's all that bad. Mineral oil is lightweight and helps reduce water loss from the skin. When used in cosmetic products, like this one, it's highly purified and completely safe to use. If you're worried about the product clogging your skin, then just use a second cleanser to wash it off properly afterwards, which is what's recommended anyways. ^^ 

There are plenty of great ingredients in the product, including grapefruit extract for its antioxidant effect,, citrus peel extract for elastic skincare, macademia seed oil to keep moisture, aloe leaf juice for moisturizing skin, and orbignya seed oil for hydration. As mentioned earlier, this is formulated without parabens, benzophenone, triclosan, triethanolamine, or BHT. 

Instructions & Performance

Instructions says to simply scoop up the necessary amount with the spatula and apply on clean hands, then gently massage the balm on the skin. Then, to cleanse, rinse it off with warm water. Here, I used a waterproof  Diamond Beauty Eyeliner. This eyeliner has caused me so much pain. I love it because it doesn't smudge and is practically permanent marker every time I use it. Removing it is another story altogether. 

I have to use my cleansing oil, then several cleansing waters before it's even barely off, blinding my eyes in the process. Then, after using my second cleanser, I'll leave the bathroom and use the toner to make sure everything is properly washed off, only to find residue still there. 

Yet, I continue to use it because I often forget I'm wearing eyeliner and rub my eyes, and all other eyeliners I've used had turned me goth when I do that. I'd rather be pretty and worry about the pain of removal later, thank you. <3 

Alright, I'll stop ranting. I made sure the eyeliner was dry, testing it by rubbing it with tissue, then getting it wet and trying to rub it off again. I applied a small amount of the sherbet cleanser. making sure there's at least enough to spread it around I'm stingy though, and didn't scoop up a lot. 

The back of my hand is so gross, but as you can see, it's melting the color off my hand so wonderfully! In addition, it has a pleasant, moisturizing touch, making the removal process all the more pleasant. 

After that, all I needed to do was run water through my hand and the liner was completely gone! Dayum. I've since tried this on full-face makeup and this has transformed into my favorite first cleanser. It takes off my eyeliner without blinding me or getting into my eye! Yasss!!

Overall Impression

As you can see the balm works perfectly on cleaning off makeup! I've used this several times throughout the month, taking off not just makeup, but also my sunscreen. On days when my skin feels particularly clogged up, I'll massage my face with plenty of the balm, and then wash it off with water. 

As promised, just a gentle touch is needed and the sherbet balm melts into the skin wonderfully. I am, however, deducting a point because this sort of leaves my face deceivingly moisturized. I have clog-prone oily/combo skin, so I have to be careful to make sure my skin is properly cleansed. I'm sure to use a second cleanser after using this since I'm worried that the dewy finish is caused by the mineral or olive oil in the product. Perhaps the ingredients list could use a little bit of tweaking, but why fix something that's not broken?

If you can't tell already, I'm a fan of this cleansing balm! It's really super amazing and I love pretty much everything about it, from the packaging and the smell, to the way it melts off makeup and cleanses without being drying. It's really pretty awesome.

[Jolse Haul] Jolse Random Box + Random Purchases

Jolse does these random boxes every once in a while and while I was debating on whether I wanted to get one, it sold out! Luckily for me, they came back for round two and this time, I didn't hesitate. I love shopping from Jolse. It's one of the first shops I've purchased from and the first Korean store that I've bought from.  It ships internationally for free with no minimum purchase and I did a review of them before here.  Shipping takes about 3 weeks. 

So, now that we've gotten what Jolse is out of the way, let's talk about what Jolse Random Box is! For this batch of Jolse random box, we had a list of items on what we want to buy, then pay for that single item and just like that, we get additional two items free! There were lots of options, including this Cosrx pimple patches, Cosrx low pH cleanser, lots of other best sellers, ect. 

The items I purchased in this haul is just the ones on the top of the image, Cosrx Pimple Patches (pack of 4) and the Missha Pure Source Pocket Pack 10ml (Tea Tree & Green Tea) for $21.94. The rest of the items, everything at the bottom, is completely and absolutely free. That's just ridiculous! 

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch

This came in a pack of four for $14.98, which is actually a really good price considering one sells for $4.00. That's a $1 discount + lots of extra free stuff! I love these patches and have reviewed them here. Directions are simple enough to understand. Cleanse the area around the acne blemishs and pimples, Select a patch of larger size than the acne blemishes and pimples and adhere the patch to those areas and then leave the patches on overnight/until a bump appears to absorb the impurities and gross stuff from your skin.

I usually have this on after I use my essenses and before my last/thickest cream and the patch has no problem staying on. The patches are most effective when used on a lanced/popped pimple/acne, but I do apply them to pimples that're painful to touch, just so I won't accidentally pop it via scratching. ><

If you can't tell already, I'm a pretty big fan of the Cosrx Acne Pimple Patches. It's used to cover acne to protect the ski nfrom bacteria and dirt. It also acts to absorb impurities from the skin and prevent further infection. This Hydrocolloid material secures the wound and prevents  a second infection, which was something I had a problem with since I pick at my skin a fair bit. I know I shouldn't, but I still do it. Having the patch on stops me from causing further injury on my skin. I've actually had acne that disappear completely instead of coming to head from using these patches. It's magic. 

Missha Green Tea Pure Source Pocket Pack

I needed something to accompany me for my trip to Australia so I figured I should get one of these 10ml pocket packs, which is resealable and small enough that I can bring this with me on my trip. I actually ended up not liking this of the Tea Tree at all. The scent of alcohol was super overwhelming. They're both supposed to be sleeping packs, but they were both barely moisturizing, even so far as leaving my skin somewhat dry. 

Missha Tea Tree Pure Source Pocket Pack

This was exactly the same as the green tea pack. =< It's slightly annoying really. I expected this to smell like tea tree at least, but nope. It smells like alcohol and dries, well, dry. 

Espoir Face Prime Glow Fix Mist

Espoir Face Prime Glow Fix Mist is a strong makeup coating polymer that I'm actually probably not going to use. It looks absolutely amazing though, and the price of this alone is enough to cover the entire box. I'm going to try and sell this off somehow. ^^

Tony Moly Bio Ex Renew Peeling Pad

I've never used peeling pads before, but this should be super exciting! I couldn't find much (any) information on how exactly to use this though, so I'm going to have to wing it when I do! ^^

Lioele A.C. Control Lotion Trouble Hunter

I'm the most excited about the Lioele A.C. Control Lotion Trouble Hunter. It's a moisturizing lotion with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects that can manage excessive sebum to prevent greasiness. The lotion has a fresh scent that's very mild and it applies really nicely, drying without a sticky finish.  I'm really happy with this lotion cause it feels like Jolse saw the pimple patches I bought and figured I could use something for my pimples. XD It's true~ Jolse is awesome.

Overall Impression

The value for the random box is spectacular. For the Price of the ~$15 Cosrx pack, I got so many extra free items! They even included small samples together with the purchase. Jolse is always spectacular and this haul was no different.

The Vprove Cream is available for $17.83 on Jolse.com, but there are a variety of other creams under the same brand. Vprove is a relatively new brand in the market of skincare, having only been found in October of 2016 by Cosmocos. The 'V' in the name is meant to mean 'verified' by doctors, and Prove reflects the will to resolve problems.

The VProve  Rhodiola Cream aims to whiten and provide anti-wrinkling effects. The cream protects skin from cold wind and drastic change in temperatures. It provides long term hydration effects as well.

Packaging

There's 35g of the product in the tube. I really like these type of packaging for creams, since it keeps the product from getting in contact with the air. This helps especially in weather like Malaysia, cause it's super humid here and I'm always worried about mold growing on products. It's only happened once (to my tube of Elizavecca Carbonated Bubbly Clay Mask) but once if more than enough, especially since skincare is precious.

There is not seal over the tip of the tube, so don't worry if it comes without it. ^^

I'm mildly outraged by how stupidly long the list of ingredients is. Thankfully, it looks good on cosdna, with the Dimethicone, Zince Oxide and Butylene Glycol as 1 on Acne, and Tocopherol showing up at 2 for both acne and potential irritants.

The star ingredient is of course, the Rhodiola Sacra Root Extract, which is an emmolient that is an antioxidant that's commonly used in natural medicine. Googling brought me to a few places that sell this as a tonic herb and 'superfood' that is supposed to increase vitality, improve mood, and benefit cardiovascular and immune systems. It has been used for centuries to help acclimate to high mountanous altitudes, which explains VProve's thinking process of making a cream for our skin to acclimate to vast changes in temperature. The plant is known as an “adaptogen” that is supposed to help the body adapt to and resist physical, chemical, and environmental stress.

It also has Niacinamide, an antioxidant that is known to brighten skin tone and is good for fading pigmentation. It's also an ingredient that my skin sometimes react badly to though, so I care careful to patch test this carefully .T.T

There's like, a million other ingredients in the cream, which, like I said earlier, really annoyed me because I don't believe you need quite so many things in a cream to make it effective. I prefer Cosrx's approach with keeping ingredients minimal, especially since they're only highlighting 5.

Intructions & Texture

Intructions says to just take an appropriate amount and apply on face evenly, tapping softly to absorb. I use this as the second last layer of my skincare routine not because of the texture, but solely because I'm playing that using it that way would successfully cover the scent. 

The product has a ridiculously intensive smell that's not really obvious from the tube, but becomes noticable as soon as it's applied. It has one of those scents that isn't completely overbearing, but whafts into your nose when you're least ready and you'd be smelling this weird scent and trying to find out if someone reapplied perfume or something. So. Annoying. I usually like my products somewhat scented, but this is just way too much.

The texture is quite thick, as you can see and leaves somewhat of a white cast if not applied properly. 

 The ingredients for this cream is really, really long but the only thing that came up higher than 3 is the phenoxyethanol, a preservative which ranks at a 4 on cosdna. 

Performance

I spent a good while trying trying to find the perfect cream/lotion to mix this with so that I can dilute/negate the scent somewhat, but I haven't been successful so far. It dries a little tacky. In terms of hydration, it definitely does work.

The main purpose of this cream is to help skin adapt to changes in temperature, as illustrated here: 

Honestly, this is interesting to me because the weather here is hot and humid, as I mentioned, but air conditioned spaces are chilly and dry and we got from that to hot and humid in point zero seconds since it only requires opening a door. If it's helping, I don't really feel the difference that this cream claims to make. In terms of whitening and anti-aging, I can't really be sure until I use this cream for much longer, since the skin takes about 30 days to go through a cell-cycle and renew itself. 

Unfortunately, every time I patch tested this, I end up with cc's. It's probably one of THE ONE MILLION INGREDIENTS IN THE CREAM. This is one of the reasons why I dislike products with this many ingredients. I can never quite figure out what it was that triggered the reaction. It could be the niacinamide, but I've reacted fine with some products that has it. I can't fault a cream for my own skin's adverse reaction towards it, so I'm docking 2 points for the horrible scent.

In the meantime, this is going to my mom, who has adamantium skin that only takes good effects from all creams and doesn't react badly to anything I've introduced to her. She's gone through 3 tubes of the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel, which broke me out with just one use. XD I will update this post with the effects on her skin, but in the meantime, she likes the scent. =.= and finds it a pretty nice, hydrating cream.
