Product & Shop
I was sent this Elizavecca Kangsi Pack 24k Gold Content Kangsi Pack in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own, as always.
Elizavecca has been developing and selling products for more than 20 years. Elizavecca isn't a new brand for me. I've tried a few products of theirs, including plenty of their assorted Power Ringer masks and their Green Piggy Collagen Jella Pack Pig Mask. I've also tried their carbonated bubble pack, though I haven't sat down and prepared a review for that since I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it's a really fun product that bubbles on my face. On the other hand, it can be a little bit too stripping and is ridiculously hard to wash off completely. It's worth a look though, and is definitely fun to play with.
I have mixed feelings about Elizavecca because they offer pretty decent products for really reasonable prices, but at the same time, I haven't found a product that's HG for me, so I approached this Kangsi Pack with caution.
This Elizavecca pack is a steady seller for the brand. It helps in pore management, exfoliating, and evening skin tone and texture.

Packaging & Ingredients
I really like the packaging for the product. Most face packs opt for jars or tubes or completely unsanitary containers. Having this in a squeeze tube means I'll just squeeze out however much I need, and the rest of the product stays safe and nestled inside the container.
Ingredients: Water, silica, alcohol, maltose, glycerin, polyvinyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, polysorbate 60, lavan dula angustifolua (lavender) extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, origanum vulgare leaf/flower/stem extract, thymus vulgaris (thyme) extract, phyllanthus emblica fruit etract, aristotelia chilensis fruit etract, euterpe oleracea fruit extract, rubuus idaeus (raspberry) fruit extract, vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract, vaccinium myrtillus fruit extract, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) fruit extrac, propolis extract, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, portulaca oleracea extract, hydrolyzed collagen, adenosine, ceramide 3, goly synthetic fluorphlogopite, tin oxide, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, carbomer, tromethamine, fragrance.
There are plenty of beneficial ingredients in the list, such as propolis extract for it's anti-inflammtory and anti fungal properties to speed up healing process. Propolis is used as a sealant in the bee's hive to protect the colonyfrom viruses, diseases and other intruders. In the hive, it acts to inhibit fungal and bacterial growth. In skincare, it's for moisturizing and trouble-care.
Adenosine in skincare is lauded for it's anti-aging properties. Adenosine Triphosphate is a molecule in the body that is responsible for being the leading source of energy for the majority of our cellular and muscular functions (source). It has anti-wrinkle properties that is a good soothing and skin-restoring agent.
There's also lavender and rosemary, with lavender helping regulate sebum production and rosemary for it's antimicrobial effects. In addition they've included only like, a billion fruit extracts. ^^ I'm not quite sure what half of them is for, but I'll trust the researchers behind Elizavecca that they didn't just add them for the laughs.
The gold, however, is another matter. Even though people in cosmetic claims it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, their claims aren't really backed by scientific research. I'm fine with it being in the pack for it's fun factor though. :)
Do take note that alcohol is the third ingredient, which may be triggering for some.

Texture and Directions
The pack has a seal foil upon opening. Once peeled off, it's just the matter of squeezing it out and applying it. Instruction says to squeeze out a generous amount and apply evenly over clean face, then let dry for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it off. It's recommended use is 2 - 3 time a week.
I tried this on the back of my hand first and the shimmery gold is really very fun! Texture-wise, it applies really smoothly, creating a nice layer over my skin. The fragrance on this is quite strong, which is a given for most Elizavecca products that I've tried.
Performance
TIL my skin tone is gold. Muahaha. It's mostly to do with my phone camera though. XD I enjoyed applying the mask pack over my skin. It didn't dry out too quickly too, which allowed me to apply a somewhat film layer all over my skin.
After about 20 minutes, my skin had turned really white! It dried to a white, powder-like texture that kinds of flake a little. I really wasn't expecting the mask to have a clay-mask like texture when it dried. It also didn't suck of any moisture from my face as it changed color, which was an odd thing! I really enjoyed having the mask on my face and I didn't feel like my skin was cracking (looking at you Innisfree clay masks). Lol.
After washing it off, I noticed that my skin tone was kinda evened out, which was very nice. I was dumb and didn't do a before-after shot though. My pores were also clean and my face felt more refreshed. I didn't need to follow this up with a second cleanser since it washed off easily with water.
This Elizavecca Kangsi Mask is supposed to manage pores and exfoliate for clean skin texture. It helps by flushing out environmental toxins, dirty and debris that can clog pores and brighten and reduce hyperpigmentation while evening out skin tone. It also claims to balance the skin's natural hydration levels.
Does it do what it promises? Well, sorta! It helps tighten pores (temporarily) and exfoliates and removes dead skin. It's brightening effect is only temporary though, but I wasn't really expecting it to clear up my hyperpigmentations within just one use! I've been using this once a week for a few weeks and my opinion of this is quite positive! I actually enjoy this out of everything else from the brand I use. Definitely one of my favorite masks now! ^^ Now I just got to find a place that sells this and ships to Malaysia!
