Haruharu Mask Packs

I received these Haruharu Masks from www.jolse.com two weeks ago and have gotten around to using all of them. I received these masks for free, but all thoughts are my own, as usual. I am absolutely in love with the packaging of the product. My favorite is the one with the woman catching her lover or bf kissing another woman as she stands outside his car. And then there's the one with her trying to drown him? So freaky. I love it.

The design on the packages are meant to look like an instafeed, with likes and everything. There are 4 typs of haruharu mask packs focusing on lifting, moisturizing, soothing, and revitalizing respectively. It contains fermented horse fat, so if you're iffy about that, these aren't the masks for you. The fermented horse fat is supposed to be similar to human skin and maximizes effects and lower surface tension, allowing better absorption and nourishment. Each package contains 25g of essence and the sheet mask materials differ from mask to mask. The Moisturizing mask is cupra fabric, Lifting Mask and Vitality Masks are tencel, and Soothing mask uses bamboo fabric.

The masks are available individually for $2.55 each and $25.50 for a pack of ten.

Haruharu Moisture Mask

I like the packaging on this too and wished I loved this more. The moisture mask aims to hydrate the skin by having a rich essence and using the cupra fabric that's made of 100% natural cotton seed ingredient. It continas hyaluronic acid that aids moisturization and fermented horse oil. I really wished I loved this mask more but it was the last of the Haruharu mask that Jolse.com sent and while I really appreciate their masks, I didn't like them. I do believe if you have really dry skin, these would be perfect for you though!

Ingredients and Texture

Ingredients on CosdnaWater, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Alcohol, Methylpropanediol, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Xanthan Gum, Butylene Glycol, Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Benzyl Glycol, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Raspberry Ketone, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Trehalose, Betaine, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Carbomer, Allantoin, Arginine, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Horse Fat

There alcohol and fragrance in the ingredients so those of you with alcohol sensitivie should be careful with patch testing if you insist on trying the mask.

The mask material is non-stimulant cupra fabric sheet mask that feels sort of like cotton as it dried. I actually didn't like the material of this sheet mask since it was a little uncomfortable to have on. The cutting also wasn't as good. Essense clung to the mask really well, but I had enough leftover of the 25g essense to apply on my body.

Performance

Performance was so-so. It didn't really moisturize as much as I would've liked it to. I think My Beauty Diary masks or My Scheming masks were able to moisturize better comapred to these masks.

In addition, I wasn't really surprised with the super sticky residue it left behind, like the rest of the masks from this line. The essense, surrpisingly, rolls off my skin after I took off the mask as if I was using a peeling gel. It was moisturizing, but like I said, super sticky and rather uncomfortable. It might work better for those of you with super dry skin but for my oily/combo skin, the haruharu masks were all too much.
